Below
you'll find some of the day trips that are possible from
the Neidpath Bed and Breakfast. As we've already mentioned,
Neidpath is the ideal base in which to travel to many parts
of Scotland.
Falkirk
Wheel
This
magnificient structure was open by the Queen on 24th May
2002 and is the only one of its kind in the world. The wheel
was design to link the Forth & Clyde and Union canals
running between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Visitors to the Wheel
can see the rotating boatlift in operation, visit the exhibition
centre and shop or take a trip on the wheel itself. You
can also spend a day shopping or visit Callander Park in

Spend
the day in Edinburgh

You'll
need at least if you really want to see Edinburgh. Fortunately,
Neidpath provides easy access to Edinburgh by bus or train
without the worry of parking. Edinburgh is a beautiful city
just to walk about and explore. The wonderful Royal Mile
leads straight to Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh premier tourist
attraction. On the way, why not visit Holyrood Palace, Dynamic
Earth or sample a couple of drams in the Scottish Whiskey
Heritage Centre. There are also many galleries and musuems
for you to browse around as well as numerous shops providing
a fine selection of traditional Scottish gifts. more

Loch
Lomond

This
is the worlds largest and most famous fresh water loch and
surely one of Scotlands most beautiful tourist attractions.
There are many islands on the loch and a choice of boat
trips to take you round the loch itself. Spend the day walking,
relaxing or simply admiring the scenery and then you might
want to sample the food from one of the local restaurants.

Pitlochry
Pitlochry
is a lovely little tourist town situated near Perth. There
are many opportunities for the family to enjoy walks, parks
and even watch the Salmon jump in the River Tummel. There
are also many traditional Scottish shops as well as fairground
attractions and amusements for the children. more

Edradour
Distillery - near Pitlochry
This
is Scotlands smallest distillery and is also the last original
farm distillery in Perthshire. You'll find it a short drive
from Pitlochry at the foot of the hills. Why not go along
for a tour and enjoy a wee dram. more

St
Andrews
The
home of Scottish golf and Scotlands oldest University, St
Andrews is a seaside town well worth a visit. If you are
a golfer you will more than certainly want to visit the
worlds most celebrated golf club, the old course. However,
there are many more attractions in St Andrews including
the University (currently attended by Prince William), St
Andrews Cathedral and St Andrew Sealife Aquarium. There
